Overview
This programme aims to provide individuals with the techniques and skills to combat the impact of stress at work, enabling the individual to improve well-being and performance at work.
It is written to the requirements of the Health & Safety Executive Management Standards issued in 2005.
Objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
* State the meaning of stress and describe the difference between pressure and stress.
* Describe the causes of stress and how it affects performance.
* Identify the signs and symptoms of stress in themselves and others.
* Develop practical techniques to help with preventing and managing stress, including ways to avoid stress and the importance of thinking and focusing positively,
Who it is suitable for
Any member of staff who experiences stress in the workplace.

Core 2 Levels 1-3:
Contribute to own personal development; Develop own knowledge and skills and provide onformation to others to help their development; Develop oneself and contribute to the development of others.
Core3 Level 4:
Maintain and develop an environment and culture that improves health, safety and security. (stress related issues).
