Overview
The aim of this programme is to support reviewers to carry out motivational appraisals in line with the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF).
Objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
* Use their underpinning knowledge of the KSF framework to undertake motivational appraisals or reviews.
* Prepare both themselves and the reviewee for the appraisal.
* Undertake year-end reviews, gateway reviews and career plan mapping.
* Judge evidence against KSF dimensions and share feedback with reviewees on their progress.
* Plan suitable and cost effective forms of development to support the achievement of the required dimensions.
* Demonstrate sensitivity during the appraisal and handle conflict/resistance in a positive and supportive manner.
* Complete the required paperwork in line with organisational requirements.
Who it is suitable for
Any member of staff who is responsible for carrying out KSF appraisals. It is recommended that participants applying for this programme have attended basic KSF training and have a good working knowledge of the KSF.
