Developing Leaders for the Future
Overview
This programme is designed to support the development of leaders for the future. It encourages the development of supervisory/team leader skills for staff showing potential for leadership.
The programme is very flexible with the ability to add or delete modules as required. In its standard form the programme is made up of five modules and is delivered as two blocks with one month in between to practice learned skills. Block one is two days and block two, three days.
Objectives
By the end of the programme participants will be able to:
* Use a variety of tools and techniques to lead and motivate individuals and teams.
* Communicate assertively and in a manner which support and enhances relationships in a multi-disciplinary setting.
* Organise themselves in a manner which enables them to perform the requirements of the role effectively whilst also preserving their personal wellbeing.
* Identify their own abilities as leaders and plan to continue their development in this role.
Who it is suitable for
Any member of staff who shows potential for a leadership role.
