Senior Manager's Awareness Programme
Overview
To give senior managers an awareness of the Leadership Development Programme, and to update key leadership skills in line with this programme.
The programme is totally flexible with the ability to add or delete modules as required, and in its standard form is made up of three modules, delivered in a block of three days.
Objectives
DAY 1:
By the end of the day, participants will be able to:
Describe the contents of the first day of the Leadership Development Programme, focusing on developing skills in:
* Motivating staff.
* Styles of leadership which enable junior managers/team leaders to be empowered.
* Coaching for motivation and staff development.
* Giving Effective Feedback.
DAY 2:
By the end of the day, participants will be able to:
Describe the contents of days 2 and 3 of the programme, focusing on developing skills in:
* Using the four stages of performance management as an analytical tool to determine appropriate leadership style and techniques.
* Discuss with members of staff, issues of poor performance.
* Use behavioural abd communication models to review their own communication styles and to plot dysfunctional communication.
DAY 3:
By the end of the day, participants will be able to:
Describe the contents of days 4 & 5 of the Leadership Development Programme focusing on developing:
* Assertiveness skills and strategies used on the programme.
* Time Management systems and processes used in the programme.
* Change Management tools.
Who it is suitable for
Any senior member of staff who leads multiple teams.
