Facilitation Skills

Overview

This programme enables the development of key facilitation skills appropriate for managing problem solving and decision making groups in an “Awayday” setting.

The programme is highly participative with plenty of opportunity to practice the skills of facilitation. In addition, significant learning will come through the opportunity of participants to observe others and give and receive feedback on their developing skills and their colleagues.

Objectives

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

* State the key characteristics of an effective facilitative technique.
* Plan and prepare facilitative events.
* Facilitate groups towards effective problem solving and decision-making.
* Give and receive feedback on an individual’s developing facilitation skills
* Produce an action plan appropriate to facilitation skills development in the workplace.

Anyone in a training or management role who leads awaydays or facilitates group discussions.
