Overview
The aim of this programme is to develop participants skills and knowledge in the areas of recruiting and selecting staff.
Role plays and scenarios are based on the participants roles and responsibilities and will therefore always be relevant to the workplace.
Objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
* Carry out a Job Analysis and produce Job Descriptions, Person Specifications, Advertisements and Selection Criteria which meet the needs of the organisation and comply with the law.
* List and describe the laws which impact on recruiting and selecting staff and apply these rules to interviews they conduct and paperwork they produce.
* Describe and select from a range of assessment tools.
* Plan and conduct interviews in a structured manner using behavioural questions to maximise information gained from the interviewee.
* Work as a panel member to make objective decisions about candidates.
* Give sensitive feedback to unsuccessful candidates.

This programme is suitable for any member of staff with a responsibility to recruit and select staff.
